Lost in wonderland

Today after a lunch at a lovely spot on the canal amstel Cafe Langereis, I thought I was walking to the Museum Plein to see Van Gogh. Instead I walked in the other direction only to end up back at the Dam square were I had been on my last journey. I was in complete shock. Anyways here are some pictures of some of the things I did see and do today. Including the start of my day at The Atelier Molenpad. Experimenting with chalk and paint together. Mostly by hand. to coffee shop or not to coffee shop

 An over 6 mile trek around Amsterdam today. Inspiration all around. I envision natural colours of narrow road ways, water passages and flat aerial views of canal boats with cargo boxes. Kinkerstraat to the Nines, to the Dam,to part of the red light, to chinatown area, to Nieuwendijk , to Central station, to Nieuwmarkt, to the University, up the Prinsengracht and back home. It was hard to imagine what people meant when they said - get your bearings before you visit a coffee shop or you'll get run over by bikes. Now i get it. Maybe coffee another day !

Falling

Love me for the woman i am

i clearing am obsessed with love. i find solace and clarity in lyrics.

i am stubbornly romantic. i paint in a state of dreaminess or obsession or madness.

i must walk to the art store and spread some love around before i explode.

What I want

I want simplicity. guards down. solitude. effort. love. passion. conviction. commitment. one foot in front of the other. movement. stability. intrigue. surprise. maturity. intuition. intelligence. truth. confidence. respect. creativity. laughter. inspiration. space. I want what exists in these poems.
